Activities
Book Club
We have multiple Encores Book Groups, and each one meets once a month. The first one meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, and the second one meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month. The third group meets on Tuesday afternoons, every other month. These meetings are held on a rotation at different members' homes.
Bunco
Bunco is a dice game. The group plays once a month on a Thursday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Bridge
Meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.
Canasta
Canasta is played twice a month on Mondays at 1:00 p.m, at the Bucks County Free Library in Doylestown. It's a fast-paced, partnership card game that blends strategy, skill, and a touch of luck into a fun, social experience.
Covered Dish
The covered dish group meets at members' homes every two to three months.
Gadabouts
Trips are planned to events/places throughout the year. The activity will be announced in the Newsletter, and all members are invited to attend. Usually, the activity takes one whole day. The members are responsible for paying for the activity themselves. If members provide transportation, the cost is shared among all members participating in the activity.
Happy Hour
Happy Hour is a social event that meets every other month at various locations during the traditional "Happy Hour" time frame. It's open to all Members who are welcome to bring their spouse or friend to the event.
Ladies Night Out
Dinner at various restaurants in the area on a weekday night.
Luncheons
Once a month, on the third Thursday, we have a luncheon at a local restaurant with a program. This is an excellent time for our members to come together to socialize, and to support our selected charities through our community service contributions.

Mahjong
Three groups meet regularly at a member's home. We play with the National Mah Jongg League card and abide by their rule book.
Movies Together
Join us at the County Theater once a month to view the latest presentation.
Socials
We have social "get-togethers" that all members
and their guests are welcome to attend.

Teatotalers
A gathering to get together to sample a variety of teas and accompanying snacks. Meetings will be at regional tea houses or members' homes.
T.G.I.F.
The group meets once a month on a Friday at a different restaurant or tavern, beginning with happy hour and then an informal supper. (Spouses are invited too.)
Walking Group
Walks meet on Wednesday mornings at 9 AM (seasonal) and last approximately an hour. The pace is more of a stroll than a power walk, covering about 1.5 to 2 miles during the hour. Highlights of Doylestown's history will be noted during the walk. If it's raining, the walk is cancelled, and there are no walks during the winter months.
Winers
This activity was formed to further our enjoyment and education about wine. We meet, with or without spouses or significant others, on the third weekend of the month on either Friday or Sunday evening. The host for that month selects the date, location, time, and format of the gathering.
